EC 209 ASSIGNMENTS Spring 2021 All assignments (except for the time series assignments) will use the Employee Satisfaction data set. It is an excel spreadsheet that is included in Course Documents. Also included in Course Documents is a description of the variables included in this data set. The assignments may not use every variable in this data set. Variables needed will depend upon the subject matter and the type of test involved. Please pay attention.
NOTE: Please feel free to use Excel to do sort data, organize data, and do calculations to complete various assignments.
This sheet contains the assignments for the first three topical areas. You will find the assignments for simple regression, multiple regression, and time series in their specific modules.
ASSIGNMENT TWO CHI-SQUARE

1. Do the different types of employees follow a uniform distribution? Use alpha = 0.05.
2. Is there a relationship between the type of employee and their salary category? Use alpha = 0.01.
ASSIGNMENT THREE ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE

1. Is there a difference in the average satisfaction level across the salary groups? Use alpha = 0.05.
2. Is there a difference in the average monthly hours across the salary groups? Use alpha = 0.05.
3. Is there a difference in the average number of projects across the following three groups, employees at the company 2 years or less, 3 or 4 years, and more than 4 years? Use alpha = 0.01.
4. Is there a difference in the average years spent at the company between the low salary group and the medium salary group? Use alpha = 0.05.
