Are Modern Women Smarter? A recent study tracked the percentage of women attending college. They report that in 1978, 11% of female high school graduates attended college. To see if this percentage has
changed, they took a simple random sample of 350 female high school graduates and asked them if they
were going to attend college. Of the 350, graduates, 73 had plans to attend college. Is there statistically significant evidence to show that a higher percentage of women attend college now than in 1978? Test at 5% level of significance.
