AD  is an "arc length" .  So they want to know the length, in degrees. along the circle , from A to D.   Why didn't they just say so, huh.  :D   well, they kinda did, but not as clear as they could have.

next.  you need to know how far around a circle is all the way around?  

if you guessed 360°,  you are right

next because they gave us that angle of 93° we know all the angles around the point E,  complimentary angles add to 180 so 180-93 = 87°.  That's the to the left of 93 and directly below it too.  This is the answer to the 2nd question  ∠DEC= 87°

we can only write arc length of AD in respect to what we know about the circle.

so,   arc length of AD is  161° + BA + AD + DC = 360

or getting AD by it self , then

AD =360 -161 -BA -DC

AD = 199°-BA-DC

maybe that's all you need to do,  also i'm wondering if there is some more info about this problem , maybe at the top of the page?  of off the screen?
