The excursion boat travels 35km upstream and then returns to its starting point. The entire trip(both ways) took 4 hours and 48 minutes. If the speed of the boat in still water is 15km/hr and the current is 2.5km/hr how much longer is the trip upstream than the trip downstream. and
It takes a motorboat 50 minutes to travel upstream a distance of 10 miles, and 30 minutes to travel the same distance downstream. Find the rates, in miles per hour, of the boat in still water and of the current.
