A. Using C to represent the total cost for an order of carnations and n to represent the number of carnations in the order, write two equations that represent the total cost of an order with each flower shop. Be sure to label each equation with the corresponding name of the flower shop.
B. Solve the pair of simultaneous equations found in part A. Show your work.
C. Describe what your solution for part B represents in terms of choosing a shop to supply the flowers. Explain which flower shop the student council should choose, and justify your answer using your responses from parts A and B.
