Two friends are in a race. Abel is faster than Bertram and they want it to be fair.
Abel runs at a speed of 1 kilometer per 5 minutes. Bertram runs at a speed of 1 kilometer per 6 minutes and therefore gets a 1 kilometer head start.
When and where will Abel catch up to Bertram? (If it is after the finish line, assume they keep running at the same rates until Bertram catches up. )
Who will win a 5 kilometer race?
How much time will it take each kid to finish the 5-kilometer race?
