On Memorial Day, Tamira and her family go on a day trip to an outlet mall. They leave their house at 9 a. m. and travel at a constant speed of 70 miles per hour for one hour, arriving at the mall just as the stores open. They shop for two hours and then
drive farther away from home for 15 minutes, at a speed of 40 miles per hour. Then they stop at a local café for one hour to
enjoy some lunch. After their lunch break, they return home, still at a constant rate of speed, but traffic is very heavy, so they
have to travel much more slowly than they did earlier in the day. The trip takes a total of 10 hours.
