tickets and 14 child tickets for a total of $164. The school took in
$130 on the second day by selling 5 adult tickets and 7 child tickets. What is the price of one adult ticket?

First day: 3x + 5y = 70

second day: 12x + 12y = 216

Solve the system of equations (use elimination)

Multiply first equation by -4 -4(3x + 5y = 70), which makes it

-12x - 20y = -280
