In the introduction, we looked at the human populations of different geographic groups. There are about 1 x 10^9 people in Africa, 4.2 x 10^9 in Asia, 7.4 x 10^8 in Northern America, 3.7 x 10^7 in Oceania, and 6 x 10^8 in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Part A: which regions have populations with 9 as the power?
Part B: Which regions have populations with 8 as the power?
Part C: Which regions have populations with 7 as the power of 10?
Question 2: Now that the regions are grouped in terms of their powers, compare the first factors of their problems.
Part A: Arrange from greatest to least the regions whose populations have 9 as the power.
Part B: Arrange from greatest to least the continents whose populations have 8 as the power.
Question 3: Now that you have order of regions in each group from Question 2, order all the regions by population from greatest to least. Remember to include Oceania, which was not compared in question 2. It's population is 3.7 X 10^7.
