SUMMARY OF THE END OF PART 2 OF FAHRENHEIT 451: At the firehouse, Montag hands over a book to Beatty, who welcomes him back to work and tosses the book in the wastebasket without reading the title. While the firemen play cards, Beatty recites contradictory passages from books by famous authors in an attempt to convince Montag that books are useless and untrustworthy.

An alarm comes in and the firemen head out into the night. Beatty drives at breakneck speed to their destination. It is Montag's house.

Imagine that someone asks you whether or not Fahrenheit 451 is worth reading. How would you answer?

Give 2-3 reasons it IS worth reading, or 2-3 reasons you think it is NOT worth reading. Provide a discussion of the PREMISE, PLOT, CHARACTERS, and THEMES.

You do NOT need to give incredible detail. Just provide an overview understanding of the above elements, with some examples from the novel.

Also, talk about Ray Bradbury’s STRENGTH or WEAKNESS as an author. What does he do WELL, or what does he do POORLY. Again, provide evidence from the novel.

Write at least 3 paragraphs, and BE HONEST.
