Thomas measured the amount of rain that fell during a particularly rainy day in Louisiana. He measured the rain every hour over the
course of a few hours. Rain is usually measured in millimeters by
meteorologists, so Thomas decided that he would use the same
unit of measurement. After his final measurement, the total
amount of rain that fell was 50 mm.
