Dr. Floyd and Ms. Park were both shopping for paint for classrooms. Each teacher had 10 33 area of wall to paint. Both teachers knew that they needed 8
gallons of paint. When they both did the math, Dr. Floyd said 1 43 (32/24)
gallon of paint would be used for each square foot of the wall. Ms. Park
completed the math and said 34 (24/32) gallon of paint would be used for each
square foot of wall. Solve to see which teacher is correct. Explain and show
your thinking.
