First you have to multiply the outside numbers into the parenthesis
(9(2/3)+x(2/3))=(4(-5)-x(-5))
6+(2/3x)=-20+5x
2nd you +20 to each side and -2/3x from each side to get all the x's on one side.
26=4 1/3x
next make 4 1/3 only a fraction
26=13/3x
divide both sides by 13/3
x=6
