Find the values of x and y. The figure shows two parallel lines that are vertical and a diagonal transversal that goes from the top left to the bottom right. The angle to the left of the left parallel line and below the transversal is labeled left parenthesis 2x minus 70 right parenthesis degrees. The angle to the right of the left parallel line and below the transversal is labeled 5y degrees. The angle to the right of the right parallel line and above the transversal is labeled left parenthesis x plus 30 right parenthesis degrees. Angle left parenthesis 2 x minus 70 right parenthesis degrees is below diagonal and on leftside of the left line.
Angle 5 y degrees is below diagonal and on rightside of the left line.
Angle left parenthesis x plus 30 right parenthesis degrees above diagonal and on rightside of the right line.
