So first we need to find y, to do that we make an equation.
3y-12+63=180, first add 63 to -12.
3y+51=180, we move our constant to the right.

Now we know what 5x+2 will equal however we still need to find x, before we make an equation we also need to be aware that the top left angle on the top line is also 63 degrees, by inverting that we also know the bottom right angle of the top line equals 63 degrees. So now we make our equation to find x.

5x+2+63=180, first we add 2 to 63.
5x+65=180, then we move our constant to the right.
5x=180-65, subtract 65 from 180.
5x=115, divide both sides by 5.
