What does 2(x−4)=12 what is the x Somebody PLEASE help

x= 10

Divide both sides by 2
x−4 = 12/2


Divide 12 by 2 to get 6
x−4=6

Add 4 to both sides
x=6+4

Add 6 and 4 to get 10
x=10
