Can someone PLEASE help with this i don’t understand at all

Let’s start with the left half. the two angles are supplementary angles, which means they add up to 180° (a straight line).

therefore, those two added together would equal 180°

to solve for y, we just half to make an equation that does what we just planned

so: (2y + 50) + (5y - 17) = 180
now, just solve for y

7y + 33 = 180
7y = 147
y = 21

now, to solve for x, we’ll do the same thing (as those are also supplementary)

(7x - 248) + (x + 44) = 180
8x - 204 = 180
8x = 384
x = 48

now that we have x and y, just plug them into the expressions to get the degree values

top right: 2y + 50 = 2(21) + 50 = 42 + 50 = 92°

bottom right: 5y - 17 = 5(21) - 17 = 105 - 17 = 88°

top left: 7x - 248 = 7(48) - 248 = 336 - 248 = 88°

bottom left: x + 44 = 48 + 44 = 92°
