4. Mohan bought a second hand generator for Rs.2500. He spent Rs.500 on
its repair and sold it for Rs.3300.
5. A lawn mower was purchased at Rs.1100 and Rs50 was paid as
transportation charges. It was sold at 14% profit. Find its selling price.
6. A ceiling fan was purchased at Rs.650 and Rs.250 was spent on its repair.
Find the selling price, if it was sold at a profit of 10%.
7. Shruthi purchased an old umbrella for Rs.750. She spent Rs.30 on its
repair and then sold it a profit of Rs.60. Find the selling price of the
umbrella.
8. Riya purchased a machine for Rs.36000 and spent Rs.2400 on its repair.
She then sold it for Rs.42000. Find the gain or loss percent.
9. Sahil purchased an iron almirah for Rs.5200 and paid Rs.180 for its
transportation. He also spent Rs.120 to paint it and then sold it at a gain
of 10%. Find the amount for which he sold the almirah.

10. The difference between two selling prices of a table at a profit of 5%
and 7% is Rs.8. Find
a) Cost price of the table
b) Selling price of the table
11. A dishonest shopkeeper professes to sell pulses at cost price, but he
uses a false weight of 940 gm for one kilogram. Find his gain percent.
