The distance a wheel travels in one rotation is a function of the wheel’s diameter. The picture below (sorry no picture) shows the diameter of the tire on Michelle’s car. Michelle has decided to switch from her 24-inch tires to low-profile tires, which will decrease the diameter of her tires to 20 inches. How many rotations more, to the nearest whole rotation, will the new tire make in order to travel one mile?
