Let the number of 3 wheel strollers be: x

and the number of 4 wheel strollers be: y

Now  we are given that:

There are a total of 28 strollers in the store.

That means:

                 x+y=28(1)

and also, the total number of wheels are: 100

This means that:

            3x+4y=100(2)

Using equation (1) we have:  y=28-x

On putting the value of y in equation (2) we get:

3x+4(28-x)=100

⇒  3x+112-4x=100

⇒  -x+112=100

⇒  x=112-100

⇒  x=12

         Hence, the number of 3-wheel strollers are:

                                  12
