To your teacher. Yvonne is comparing the ages of the math and science teachers at Smith High School. The ages of the math teachers are shown below. 36, 31, 46, 33, 30, 26, 52, 38, 24, 26, 35 The ages of the science teachers are shown below. 35, 40, 28, 50, 37, 39, 38, 43, 41 Part A: Create a box plot for each set of data along the same number line. Be sure to include outliers as asterisks. For this problem, an outlier is any value that is more than 1.5 times the interquartile range from the median. Part B: Compare the two box plots in the context, including the medians, the shape of the distributions, and the variation and spread of the distributions. Part C: Remove the outliers from both data sets, and then create and compare the two new box plots. Which data set statistics change the most and the least after removing the outliers? Explain why this is true and if this would be true for any data set after removing outliers.

Our star pitcher, foster enlight, can throw a pitch so fast that it gets to the catcher’s mitt before it leaves foster’s fingers! if the team wins a game then the probability that foster was pitching is 0.8 but only if foster had at least one day’s rest since his last pitching assignment. if foster does not have a day off and the team still wins, the probability that foster was pitching drops by half of what it was on the previous day. if the team wins three games in succession from the toronto tachyons and foster pitched in game #2, what is the probability that he pitched in one or more of the other games? (assume that foster did not pitch on the day before the first game of this three game series.)
