3. Bob Baffert has two thoroughbred horses in his barn that he brings out every
morning to train for the upcoming races. Hoppertunity is a horse training for a
2, 400-meter race and Dortmund is a horse training for a 1800-meter race. In a
given workout, Hoppertunity and Dortmund start running at the same time.
Dortmund runs twice as fast at Hoppertunity; however, Hoppertunity starts 200
meters ahead of Dortmund. After 12.5 seconds, Dortmund catches up with
Hoppertunity
Letr represent Hoppertunity's rate. Match expressions to the
y's rate. Match expressions to the boxes and symbols to
the circles to create an equation that can be used to find the rate at which
Hoppertunity runs. Not all expressions and symbols will be used, and you may use
an expression and/or symbol twice.
