Wetlands offer a diversity of benefits. They provide a habitat for wildlife, spawning grounds for U. S. commercial fish, and renewable timber resources. In the last 200 years, the United States has lost more than half its wetlands. Environmental Almanac gives the percentage of wetlands lost in each state in the last 200 years.
For the 30 of the lower 48 states, the percentage loss of wetlands per state is as follows:

59 48 45 35 87 9 87 35 51 37 38 90 59 71 68 50 27 38 55 45 83 45 60 42 35 27 51 20 50 30

(A) Make a stem-and-leaf display of these data. (Use the tens digit as the stem and the ones digit as the leaf.)
(B) How are the percentages distributed? Is the distribution skewed? Are there any gaps? (Select all that apply.)

a. The percentages are concentrated from 20% to 60%.
b. The percentages are concentrated from 60% to 90%.
c. There is a gap showing that none of the lower 48 states has lost from 60% to 69% of its wetlands.
d. These data are strongly skewed left.
e. These data are fairly symmetric, perhaps slightly skewed right.
f. There is a gap showing that none of the lower 48 states has lost from 10% to 19% of its wetlands.
g. There are no gaps in the data.

Match the following terms with their definitions. 1. bisector of a segment ray ba and ray bc are opposite rays if a, b, and c are collinear and b (the endpoint of both rays) is between a and c. 2. opposite rays a ray, , is the set of points beginning at point a and going infinitely in the direction of point b. 3. collinear points a line or segment that intersects the segment at its midpoint. 4. betweenness of points a set of two or more points all on the same line. 5. ray the distance between the endpoints of a segment. 6. space point b is between a and c if a, b, and c are collinear and the equation ab + bc = ac is true, where ab, bc, and ac are the distances between points a and b, b and c, and a and c, respectively. 7. midpoint of a segment a set of two or more points all on the same plane. 8. coplanar points the point on a segment that divides the segment into two equal segments. 9. length of a segment the set of all possible points. 10. line segment the set of two different endpoints and all points between them.
