Ok, so first the question tells us that triangle WLJ is congruent to triangle QBV. So, from this we know that side WJ is congruent to side QV. We also know that side LJ is congruent to side BV. So we put this into a ratio.
Then, we solve for x by algebra.
For the sides LJ and BV, it's really simple because there is no expression to work out, so x is equal to five
Whereas, for the sides WJ and QV, we solve the equation and x is equal to two. But, we are given the expression that side WJ is x+6. Using x (which is 2), we do 6+2 which is eight.
The scale factor is 1 (8/8 is one) ( or you could do 5/5 which is also one)
