Census - In 2020, Pew Research conducted a poll to examine how likely a person was to participate in the 2020 US Census based on their age. They collected a random sample of US adults. There were 1812 people who were 50 years or older. The estimated standard error of the sample proportion is 0.0076.

A normal distribution can be used to model the sampling distribution of sample proportion. The researchers constructed a confidence interval for the actual proportion of US adults aged 50 years or older who said they were likely to participate in the Census.

Following that, they collect a new sample of size 2000 and find that the sample proportion is the same as the first sample proportion.

Consider the statement:
The estimated standard error for the sample proportion based on the new sample is less than the first sample's standard error. Is this statement always true or sometimes true or never true?

a. Always true
b. Sometimes true
