PLEASE HELPYou have learned some new ways in this module to prove that triangles are similar Please describe some of these new postulates and include a diagram on the whiteboard to help explain how they are applied. By whiteboard it means draw out and examples Some new postulates are;
Angle-Angle (AA)- If two angles of one triangle are congruent to two angles of another, then the triangles must be similar.
Pythagorean Theorem- the square of the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. Formula: A^2+B^2=C^2
Some other theorems may include;
Side-Side-Side(SSS)- if the lengths of the corresponding sides of two triangles are proportional, then the triangles must be similar. (This is like SSS congruence)
Side-Angle-Side(SAS)- If an angle of one triangle is congruent to an angle of a second triangle and the lengths of the sides including these angles are proportional, then the triangles must be similar.
Angle-Side-Angle(ASA)- If two angles and the included side of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
Angle-Angle-Side- If two angles and the non-included side of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
