The given value is not a solution of the equation because 22 - 9 equals 13 not 14

3. 6d = 54; d = 9      Plug in 9 into "d" since d = 9

6(9) = 54

54 = 54

The given value is a solution of the equation because it does equal 54

4.  ; n = 39     Plug in 39 into "n" since n = 39

13 = 13

The given value is a solution of the equation because it does equal 13
