Analyze the Effects of Weathering
Weathering is an important process that changes Earth's surface.
These changes happen on different scales of time and space. A rock
tumbles to the ground and breaks apart--this is a fast change that
affects a small area. Water and wind steadily wear down a mountain
over millions of years-this is a slow change that affects a large area.
8. Discuss with a partner, look at the stone bricks used to build
this building and think about how they changed over time. What caused them to
change? Do you think these changes occurred quickly or slowly? Explain.
