                  6            - the 9 cancels out

4x=x +6                bring equation down

3x=6

/3       /3                 - divide both sides by 3

x=2

Next plug in,

4(2)-9=-1

2-3=-1

Therefore (2,-1) Is the answer where x=2 and y=-1
