Please help me figure this out!

We have a right triangle and an indicated angle of 59°.  Opposite that angle is the height of the building, which we seek.  Adjacent to that angle is the distance to the building, which we know is 63 feet.

We have a problem with opposite and adjacent so we use the tangent function.

tan 59° = h / 63

h = 63 tan 59° ≈ 104.8496074

105 feet

tan(angle)= Height/base

tan(59) =  height / 63

Height = 63 x tan(59)

Height = 105 feet

let x be the money she spent so that she can earn the free t-shirt.

since, she already spent $112.49

then,

we have an inequality i.,e

subtract 112.49 from both sides we get;

therefore, $137. 51 more money does jennifer need to spend so that she can earn the free t-shirt
