bradley dropped a ball from a roof 16 feet high. each time the ball hits the ground, it bounces 3/5 the previous height. find the height the ball will bounce after hitting the ground the fourth time.

First bounce; 16 x 3/5 = 9.6 feet

Second bounce; 9.6 x 3/5 = 5.76 feet

Third bounce; 5.76 x 3/5 = 3.456 feet

Fourth bounce; 3.456 x 3/5 = 2.07 feet

Hence; by the fourth bounce, it elevated to 2.07 feet above the ground…

Explanation: if it bounces 3/5 of the previous height, then to obtain the first bounce, multiply the previous height by 3/5 to keep on getting the height and continue to get the next by multiplying the answer by 3/5 for the next and so on.
