CONGRUENCY RULES

The rules of congruency are SAS (side angle side), AAS/SAA (angle angle side), ASA (angle side angle) SSS (side side side). Keep in mind SSA, and AAA are not rules

SAS - it means that there are two sides that are marked as congruent, with an angle in between in. Take your question 2 for example. LN = QN. The angle L=Q. ML=PQ. You are given that these three things are congruent. Therefore, it would make the triangle congruent. Keep in mind, this only works if the angle is between the sides

SSS - all the sides are equal. This is a given. If all the sides are marked equal, then the triangle is congruent. Take, for example, question three. Both the legs are congruent to each other, and they share a side which means that that's equal too.

AAS/SAA - two of the angles, and a side are proben equal.

ASA - Two angles with a side sandwiched between it ( take #6. )
