30 less than twice of angle y = 2y – 30

x = 2y – 30   (1)

Also as sum of measure of two angles is 90 so we get ,

x + y = 90

y = 90 – x     (2)

On substituting value of y from equation 2  , we get

x = 2(90 – x) – 30    

=> x = 180 – 2x – 30

=> x + 2x = 180 – 30

=> 3x = 150

=> x = 50
