Bootstrap support values for the nj analyses are depicted where 1 = 100%, 0.95 = 95%, etc., whereas bootstrap support values based on parsimony analysis are depicted as percentages. with that in mind (i. e., ‘1’ for nj is the same as ‘100’ for parsimony based), are bootstrap support values identical for the two analyses? if not, why do you think they are different? (hint: if you’re stuck, one exercise you might try is to conduct the same nj analysis multiple times using the same settings, and pay attention to the resulting bootstrap support values. you also could run the same parsimony-based analysis multiple times for comparison).
