=> cost of 1 pound of turkey  = cost of 1 pound of ham – 1.50  

=> x = y – 1.5  (2)

Now we have following two equations to proceed further

4x + 2y = 30     (1)

x = y – 1.5         (2)

Substituting value of x from eq (2) in eq(1) we get
