What's the steps to
4(x+4)=3x+2(1-3x)

You can use P.E.M.D.A.S ! Or you can download this app called "Mathpapa". This app shows you the answer AND tells you the steps to solving the problem.

1. distributive property.
4*x+4*4=3x+2*1-2*3x
4x+16=3x+2-6x

2. combine like terms. (numbers with the same variable eg. 1x +1x =2x)
4x+16 arent like terms. dont combine them. 3x and -6x are though. 3x + -6x equals -3x. 
your new equation is      4x+16= -3x +2

3. get the variable to one side. 
add -3x from both sides (4x) to get your new equation (you add -3 because -3x +-3x =0 and you want to try and get rid of that variable.)
7x+16=2  (4x+3x=7x)

4. subtract 16 from both sides.
7x+16=2

your new equation is 
7x= -14  (it is ok if you have negatives)

5. divide 7x from both sides. you always want to divide the variable.
7x divided by 7x = x             -14 divided by 7 = -2

x= -2
