En un prado cuadrado de 100 metros de lado había cuatro cabras cada una atada a las esquinas diferentes del prado con una cuerda de 50 metros comían cierta parte de la hierba del prado quedando en el centro un trozo que nadie de ellas alcanzaba el propietario tras la vender a 3 de sus cabras a lo largo de la cuerda de la que quedaba era una de las esquinas de manera que el área sobre podría pasar era igual a la que abarcaba igualmente que longitud le dio el due? o del prado a la cuerda
