y=(-1)²+2(-1)=1-2=-1

we have a minimum at (-1,-1)

y´=12x²+6x

we equalize to "0" the first derived and find out the value of "X"
12x²+6x=0
6x(2x+1)=0

6x=0      ⇒x=0
2x+1=0  ⇒x=-1/2

y´´=24x+6

y``(0)=24(0)+6=6  >0    ⇒we have a minimun at x=0
