Sam can divide blueberries and strawberries into equal sized small groups and place them into different containers. 

The weight of berries in each group can be determined by the HCF. Since the HCF will divide them into small equal groups. the HCF or Highest Common Factor of 96 and 80 is 16 as both the numbers can be divided by 16.

So, Sam can place 16 ounces of blueberries and 16 ounces of strawberries in each small container.

For this purpose he will need 6 containers for blueberries and 5 containers for strawberries.

Thus, the largest sized container which Sam should buy must hold 16 ounces in it.
