Describe a situation in which you might need to know the volume of a cylinder or prison.

You are doing an experiment in science and you need to add exactly 250 mL to a beaker. But the markings on the container have rubbed off from so much use. But you have a ruler. By figuring out the volume of the cylinder, you can figure out where the 250 mL line is. :)
