You didn't indicate which problem you wanted your helper to focus on.  So I will arbitrarily choose #2.

This large triangle is made up of two smaller triangles:  the smaller triangle has sides of 2 and x and hypotenuse of y.  The larger triangle has sides x and 5 and hypotenuse z.  Look carefully:  The largest triangle has hypotenuse (2+5) and sides y and z.  Now you have three equations in three unknowns and thus have enough info to find the values of x, y and z.
