John, aged 16, was visiting his friend Tony at his house. Tony gave John a summer
cocktail drink that had alcohol as a base, together with a fruit cordial. John
drank a great deal of the summer cocktail and started singing. Tony was so
embarrassed that he told John to go home and he lent him his motorised
skateboard. Whilst riding this on the pavement, he was arrested by PC Roberts
and charged under S1 of the Act.
