How do laws work again I forgot

Federal laws apply to people living in the United States and its territories. Congress creates and passes bills. The president then may sign those bills into law. Federal courts may review the laws to see if they agree with the Constitution.

if both the House of Representatives and the Senate vote for a bill to become law then it is sent to the President of the United States. he/she gets to sign the bill or not & if he/she does sign the bill then it becomes a law.
