How did the goals of the nato alliance differ from the goals of the warsaw pact?

The goal of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was to stop the treat of communism to countries that have a capitalist/democratic society. This organization, created by the US, ensured that during the era of the Cold War that the Soviet Union would not trade to invade any of the countries involved. This organization was dedicated to sending troops and support to any nation that joined NATO if there was a threat or attack from the Soviet Union.

The Warsaw Pact was almost the opposite, as this organization created by the Soviet Union was an alliance of satellite states. These satellite states had a communist system and were essentially controlled by the Soviet Union.
