Why were the innovators important in the late 1800’s?

Fueled industrialization--new innovations created new industries or improved the methods of in place industries. This created jobs and circulated money. 

Innovation makes a country wealthy. It helps to create industries, jobs, and new products for the market. When innovations come from within a country added to the ability to produce that innovation, the wealth stays within the country and creates a self-sustaining system.
