What were some of the issues laborers faced during the gilded age?

Laborers faced several issues during the Gilded Age including:

1) Long work hours- Laborers during this era worked upwards of 60 hours a week and often worked 6 days a week. These work hours were for men, women, and children.

2) Unsafe working conditions- During this era there were very few safety standards. Individuals were constantly getting hurt using machinery, resulting in the loss of fingers and hands.

3) Poor pay- Individuals were at the mercy of their bosses in terms of being paid, as there was no minimum wage at this point. This resulted in very little poor for a ton of work.

The  pan-african movement  was an "emotional, cultural, psychological and ideological  movement  that began among the  african  dispora in the western hemisphere, for a closer  purpose, so that  african  people could feel secure, attain political, economic as well as psychological power visa vis other races or world regions" .
