Here are some of the key provisions of the Neutrality Act of 1935:

1) Prohibited American government from exporting arms or ammunition to any country involved in a war- Since America wanted to remain isolated during foreign conflicts during this time, they implemented this law to show that they were not favoring one side or another.

2) American citizens traveling in war zones did so at their own risk- This was a lesson learned from the US and the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915. This event resulted in the death of American citizens who traveled on a British vessel that entered a war zone. This was one of the main events that drew the US into World War I. So to stop this from happening again, the US government warned citizens about this type of travel.
