The Aryan people who came into India adopted agricultural methods of others who preceded them there.  But they brought a distinctive language that had roots in Sanskrit, Greek and Latin.  They also brought new religious ideas. The Upanishads are religious texts connected to the Aryan religious tradition.  As for a new lifestyle, the caste system that became a key part of Indian life was introduced by the Aryans.
