" i had no words wherewith to comfort her. instances of this kind are of daily, yea, of hourly occurrence. what was one main effect of slave sale days? many found new and happy families to belong to. traders quickly left town before townspeople could catch them. families were divided and eventually spread across the country. people gathered and renewed family bonds during sale days.
