Civil rights and equality have played a major role in american history. people have been fighting for rights based on gender, ethnicity, race, and other attributes for centuries. in what way did the quakers participate in the early fight for human rights? they established fair labor laws and mandated fair wages to all levels of workers. they created a set of laws that prohibited any form of discrimination. they allowed catholics to seek refuge among their communities. they did not believe in the institution of slavery based on moral principles.
